2022 standalone cache and AE plugin

I just upgraded to the latest release of 2022 Silhouette.

I am working with 8K Prores 4444 footage.

When trying to open the Silhouette plugin interface inside my AE projects that use the previous version of the Silhouette plugin. It is stuck at the spinning beach ball.

I am able to open the Silhouette projects with the standalone version, however, the frames are not caching and only have memory allocated for 4/4 frame of cache. The memory allocation in the preferences is at default 60% of available memory.

I am running the Mac Studio Ultra with 128GB of RAM.

Thanks,
Edmond

It appears that the caching on M1 needs some work. We will fix this in the next point release.

@EdmondL For the moment, run Silhouette in Rosetta mode and the issue will be resolved in both the Standalone and when running as a plug-in in After Effects. Note: You can still run After Effects in M1 mode even though Silhouette will run in Rosetta mode.

Thank you for taking the time to troubleshoot this over the weekend.

Now at least it’s working properly running Silhouette in Rosetta mode so I don’t have to reinstall the previous version.
