Adding Grain

Hello everyone,

I have a question regarding grain, is there a way once grain is added to make further adjustments to the grain levels (size, amount, softness) over and over until you find the right grain match. I find myself having to delete grain and reapply it each time I have to make corrections.

Also is there a way to add a grain node just to effect the paint stokes that you have done and not the overall image instead od using the grain tool? Similar to the way you would use it in Nuke.

Any help would be appreciated.

Most brushes can use the compare modes in the paint node. Enable Vertical Split for instance and adjust the grain parameters prior to painting. You can get it exactly the way you want before you paint a stroke.

Assuming you have the Silhouette standalone, use the Paint node > Paint Only output (right output), add a Grain node after and then use a Composite node to do the comp.
