Adjusting KeyFrames in AE After Tracking in Mocha Pro

#1

I am performing a billboard replacement project in AECC 2019 and in Mocha Pro 2019. I am tracking in MP to insert in AE. Although MP 2019 now has the Insert Module, there are no tutorials on using that procedures and THEN going back into AECC 2019 with the rendered clip. So, I am using the “Copy to the Clipboard” method of replacing the image into the AE composition.

My question: Are there any tutorials (or resources) that go over how to correct keyframes in AE AFTER you have tracked in Mocha Pro instead of re-tracking in Mocha Pro again?

Hope that made sense.

Here are some Insert Module tutorials
https://borisfx.com/videos/advanced-tracking-and-logo-replacement-with-mocha-pro/
https://borisfx.com/videos/track-and-replace-logos-on-curved-surfaces/

Basically the Insert Module workflow is the same for tracking and export EXCEPT, you can render with Mocha’s motion blur setting, you can use the Lens Module for compositing and you can use the Mesh Warper.

You can channel an AE layer as the Insert Layer OR use the clip properties in Mocha to import a clip from file. In AE, you can choose to Render the Insert as a comp OR as an RGA Cutout which allows you to add effects to the insert.

To answer your other question:

Generally, most users use Mocha to get the best track. Tracks that drift, can be corrected in the AdjustTrack module. Another resource that is useful is MochaImport+ which gives additional functionality for Mocha (and AE’s) tracking. https://youtu.be/iTYtOtdD89k
