Application manager login - feature request

Any chance the app manager could be updated to allow the login information to be saved?

I know there are plenty of environments where this wouldn’t be allowed but I find the AM very useful but I’m lazy. I am the only person using my machines so there’s no chance someone would steal my login or download in my name.

Having the AM save my login info would be very helpful.

Hi Michael,

The login info in the App Manager should indeed be saved. Are you using the latest update? If so, and if it’s not retaining your login info, can you please us how long it take before the logout occurs on your system?

Thanks,
Peter.

Thanks @PeterMcAuley , I was not using the latest but have now updated and I’ll let you know how things go.

On another note, it would be nice if the AM would also show updates for itself

Hello Peter, I just had the app manager forget my login. The last time I loaded it was within the last week and it knew who I was at that point. I wanted to grab the latest sapphire and it wants me to log in again. It’s a small thing but still mildly annoying.

fwiw, here’s the log from the AM. Turns out the last use was a little farther back than I thought.

It just happened again.

Could it be that the AM is detecting that I’ve changed networks and I should log in again?

Hi Michael,

It may be just that - or it could be a bug in the App Manager or on the web hosting side of things. I’m not 100% sure. I can ask though.

Thanks,
Peter.
