new to the suite, and have tried this on several systems in premiere pro 23, tried on a braw clip and a mp4, same exact result, like it can’t interpret the inside fg properly. i get decent results sampling manually, but still need to learn all the settings to finesse it
Hi there,
This is actually the correct and expected result from sampling this shot. The next step is to switch the viewer to matte status and you’ll find that the face was identified as greenish and so the matte must be “cleaned”. Select the clean FG tool, switch to the rectangle tool and select some pixels in the face to produce the key. Then switch back to final composite and you’ll see the result that you were expecting.
Cheers,
Peter.
Thanks peter, i did go through that, I was just wondering if there was something fundamentally wrong, as I’ve watched a lot of videos where auto seems to work great, but I take your point about there being a significant green spill on the face.
Hey Darren,
Yep, and I totally understand where you’re coming from with this. Thankfully, Primatte is a multi-color keyer and enables us to generate perfect keys with shots such as this where the subject has picked up a lot of spill from the green screen. If you have any questions, or encounter any issues, while working with the filter please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Cheers,
Peter.
