Basic question about Silhouette, stand alone version

Is the standalone version of Silhouette intended to replace compositing software like After Effects and the Fusion module in DaVinci Resolve Studio? If so, where can I find some tutorials that cover the basics of compositing in Silhouette? I’m planning to install the 30 day trial to evaluate whether or not I should switch from Fusion.

Silhouette specializes in rotoscoping, paint and morphing with a 2D compositing system built around those tasks. If you require 3D compositing, you will need other software that has that capability. For the majority of 2D tasks, Silhouette can replace Fusion or After Effects. It really depends on what you are trying to accomplish.
