When I apply BCC black+white effect to HEVC 1920x1080 video. The FX is purple meaning there is only a Non-intrinsic effect applied (like, color correction, blur) applied. The very next clip when I apply the same effect with Intrinsic effect modified and additional effect applied (Green). Same codec of video. I lose my program window. Switching to software render brings it back. Any idea why bcc Black+white plus the motion effect is causing this failure?
Hi Tyler. Can you provide some specs on your system please. We need to know : OS and version, Host and version, BCC version.
Thanks,
Peter.
Windows 10 20h2 Premiere Pro 2023.3 BCC 16.0.3
I found the issue by exporting. Also, I took a few more files out of the area to be sure. Looks like the HEVC were fine during export. The files I took out were h.264 4:2:0 and the export worked with the effects applied.

Hi Tyler,
I’m unable to reproduce the issue on my systems - is the problem only with this filter or are you also seeing the issue with other filters?
One thing you might want to try is bypassing the GPU in the BCC+ Black and White filter - at the bottom of the filter you’ll find a pop-up for controlling GPU Rendering, which is enabled by default. Set this to Disabled and see if this helps.
Cheers,
Peter.
