Cleaning wires behind blurry foreground

Hi,

I would like to ask your method for cleaning up wires behind blurry foreground.

In many cases there are something to be removed behind out of focus foreground person or object. How that edge part should be treated? Painting out of focus part is kind of easy for single frame using drag brush, but difficult and many times can result unsteady result when doing multiple frames.

I would appreciate any kind of thoughts! Thanks.

Of course it will all be shot dependent but the first thing that comes to mind is to paint a single frame clean plate and using a combination of roto and paint to remove the wire. Tracking will be key to do a lot of the work for you.
