I’m loving inpaint, but couldn’t it have a data port (in) so you can pipe in tracking information from an upstream roto or tracker node? To drive the roto shape inside inpaint which is doing the work?
Since Inpaint has all of the tools present in the Roto and Tracking nodes, we felt this was unnecessary. The Roto node also does not have an data port. To make this work, we would have to add a Tracker/Layer selector as part of the Layer controls and there were some technical reasons as to why it was not ideal. In the meantime, you can copy/paste a point tracker or tracked layer into Inpaint from another Roto or Tracker node.
OK, got it. I did end up copy and pasting my tracked layer from the upstream tracker node.
