Deflectors in 3D

If you’ve used deflectors in a 3D PI project, you know they can be difficult to use. Since they’re only 2D objects extended into 3D, you don’t have the same level of control that you do with emitters or forces.

I’ve put together a video that shows how they work, what the issue is, and give you a workaround using a deflector along with a force object to give you some “3D control” of deflectors:
