How to best import footage shot on P2 1080i 24PA?

I have After Effects CS5. I shot some footage that I want to stabilize on a Panasonic HVX-200 at 1080i 24PA (not 24P - though not sure how much difference that makes)
Can someone please instruct me as to the best way to get this footage into Mocha?
I tried exporting an .avi, but when I imported it, all I get is a white screen - I try scrubbing through, but it’s all just a white screen inside the main Mocha Window?!
