How to ignore luminance change?

Hi, I’m new to Mocha pro.
Is there any way to ignore luminance change when tracking?

Depends on how much luminance change. Grab more texture, that can help. But if you’re having things like lightning flashes, you need to manually track through those areas.

You can look at the RGB channels to see if there is less luma change in a particular channel and track that channel instead of Luma. Alternatively, the newest Mocha Pro has “preprocessing” which may be useful depending on the shot. As Mary says, generally finding an area with the most texture to track is how to solve. As long as the area is on the “same relative plane” as what you want to track.
