I am attempting to powermesh the ground on a slow, birds-eye-view drone shot where no single frame has all of the ground in view. I was able to track a mesh on the entire surface, but the resulting warp/unwarp workflow in AE gives stretched results on the edges. Is this possible to fix? Or what is the correct workflow to mesh track a larger camera move?
You can make a larger mesh, but at a certain point, meshes are a 2D solution to a 3D problem and some stretching is unavoidable. Sometimes this can be fixed with multiple patches over time, and sometimes it can’t be fixed without a 3D solution. It will depend on the shot.
