I am getting the following error message when I try to install Continuum 2020 (OFX) for Windows 10:
**The Feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable. **
I looked for this file on google and it directed me to:
But even after installing Visual C++ (and rebooting of course)
It still kept asking for that. Installation completed but I am not sure if everything is 100%.
Any help would be much appreciated!
I’ll check with engineering to see if they can explain why this is happening.
Well the feedback that I received on this from our engineering group is that they believe an anti-virus app on your system is misidentifying an item as unsafe and removing it before the installer has had a chance to use it. Assuming that you have an anti-virus app running, could you please temporarily disable it and re-run the installer? You can always re-enable it post the software installation.
I just tried it again. I disabled all windows defender and antivirus threat protection (I have no third party app). Also I tried to completely remove any installed files with a tool called “geek” (uninstaller). Unfortunately I am still getting the same message…
Hmmm … I’ll pass this on to engineering and ask them to take another look.
Ok. Fresh installation of Windows solved the problem…
