This is strange

I have a holdout on top and below is my track spline. I wanted to try another one that is similar hoping I can get a better track. So I turn off the original track/spline and add another. But when I drag it to the bottom, it doesn’t track at all!! Yet when I leave it as the top layer it tracks fine. Dont get it???

Can you post a few screen shots? I’m not sure what you mean.

Hi there,
OK, I still need to see how the shapes are interacting to figure out what is going wrong with them. Hiding layers will not make them not hold out from one another, you have to deactivate them for that.
I don’t have enough information to figure out what is wrong here. Please provide a screen shot.
Cheers,
Mary

Ok seems that when a new layer/spline is added to track it has to be on top of the older splines that were tracked, and of course have to be hidden.
Layer 1 is the holdout
Layer 2 is the track/spline
Well when Layer 3 is added to track the same object, Layer 2 has to be hidden of course but Layer 3 has to be on top of Layer 2. Otherwise Layer 3 doesn’t track, at least that’s how it happened for me.
It looks like this:
Layer 1 HOLDOUT
Layer 3 track spline v02
Layer 2 track spline v01(HIDDEN)
