Tracking Basics

If I get a successful tracking whose data will be exported and applied to another object, does it matter if I added spline points along the way, if I manually made lots of adjustments throughout the tracking, or whether I tracked for skew or not, or perspective or not?

Or, as long as the tracking worked, how you tracked makes no difference as the tracking data will always be the same?

Thanks,

Matt

Yes, anything you do to get the track doesn’t really matter, what matters is how the surface tool is moving which shows you what the track is doing. The only time splines matter is when you are using them for roto, and even then, so long as they look right then they’re correct.

Mary
