I have a perfectly hand-animated roto. Is there any way to turn that into translation / tracking data? I know I could use Manual Tracking mode, but that requires meticulously applying the surface to each frame. I was hoping I could at least use the XY of the spline I already animated. Is this a crazy question?
I suppose it depends on where you’re exporting it to and for what purpose.
You could possibly convert the spline points to movement data via the host program, but to calculate the transform centre of the collective roto shape is a bigger task as a subtle change to a control point is going to move that centre.
Basically not without scripting. If you have a track that needs hand tweaking, your best bet is to use adjust track to tweak it.
