I’m pretty green with using remove, but I think what I’m trying to do is fairly basic. I need to remove a tattoo from the talent on a 30sec clip. I created the background layer, tracked it, then created a tattoo layer and linked it to the background layer. Seemed fine. The issues then started:
- Creating the cleanplate results in a 1920x540 TIFF instead of the project file size 1920x1080.
- After trying to use a corrected (manually stretched) TIFF for the remove, Mocha is only rendering every other frame with the corrected cleanplate.
I’m too sober for this. Any ideas?
I do have some ideas!
Step One: Grab an adult beverage of your choice. Drink at least half of it.
Step Two: Check the codec of the input file of the original footage, I have been seeing issues with Prores compressed quicktimes.
Step 3: Convert the original footage to something like a tiff sequence and relink the footage in the clip tab.
Step 4: Delete your cleanplate clip in the clip tab.
Step 5: Create a new cleanplate in the remove tab.
Step 6: Confirm that this cleanplate is the right size and paint it.
Step 7: Finish your beverage as your remove renders.
If none of this works, proceed to step 8, send me the file at firstname.lastname@example.org
Please let me know if you have any questions and I will be happy to help you.
Thanks for the tips Mary…I’ll give these a try and get back to you if I still have issues!
