Unable to track Trump's executive order

Hello.

I’m trying to make my own “Trump executive order meme”

I thought it would be pretty easy to track that white rectangular shape, however the tracking fails at the very first keyframe. SAD!

Here are my parameters in mocha AE:

OK, i don’t know how to insert a still image in this forum thread, but parameters are:

input channel - luminance

Min % pixels used - 90

Translation, Scale Rotation, Shear, Perspective - all checked

Large motion - checked

And here is my result:

 

 

(i copied corner pin data, made sure timeline indicator was at 0:00 in AE, created new solid (matched Comp size), pasted tracking data, precomposed, left all atributes in the current comp)

Track a larger area of the book, not inside the pages but outside the edges of the book. Here’s a good tutorial for inserting images too, even if they’re not the same size as the footage: http://www.imagineersystems.com/videos/align-surface-and-mismatched/

Tried to track a larger area of the book and got tremendous results! I didn’t even have to read any of those tutorials - because I’m smart! :slight_smile:
