I’m having some problems understanding how I can use two different Contours, each in an own layer, as a Mattes for Inserts each in own layers too.
I switched on “Use Mattes/invert” in the Insert Tab of my Insert Layers and the layers holding the Mattes are on top of them.
When I render the Inserts, their surfaces do overlap so I chose to render them in separate passes.
Then I save the clips to get one of the renderpasses with it’s proper Matte as its Alpha Channel and there I lose the idea behind Monet handling layers order.
Sometimes I get it right and I don’t know why but most of the time I end up having just the Surface Alpha.
Please can someone explain me how to get control over exporting a layer with a Matte as its Alpha when I have several layers holding Inserts and several layers holding Mattes for them.
I also noticed that from Monet 2.1.1 to 2.1.2 the “Transparent” Option in the Layer Tab vanished.
